20 + years as a skateboarder and artist with a construction background, Ryan successfully started his skatepark building career in 1999 with a grass roots effort and completion of a skatepark in his own community. This would be the first of many hands-on experiences that would help form his future in running his own skatepark design build company. Along the way Ryan's artistic nature would lead him to jobs in the concrete industry which were always specialized.
From nozzling shotcrete on manlifts 40 feet above the ground and carving rock formations to building high end residential swimming pools, he has always been passionate about his work. Since then he has traveled nation-wide designing and building over 40 skateparks from the ground up. He has worked side by side with industry leaders in constructing some of the nations most renowned skateparks. Several of which have been in the backyards of todays biggest names in skateboarding.
With over 40 years in the construction industry, Greg Mize has worn many hats. He has held multiple General and specialty licenses in numerous states including California, Colorado, Texas, and Oklahoma. He has a history of award winning successes with all of his endeavors. Greg has completed over 58 million dollars (construction loan, not retail ) worth of product throughout the United States, in the capacity of owner, manager, field superintendent, contractor and finance officer.
Currently as part owner of Native Skateparks, Greg who is Osage/Quapaw has numerous roles including sales, project coordinator and estimator. As a youth growing up and surfing in southern California, Greg witnessed the emergence of skateboard culture. He is now intent on the pursuit of bringing quality concrete skateparks to youth in and around Native America. He is very passionate about all the POSITIVE attributes associated with providing skateparks to at risk youth.
Sarah is Osage/Quapaw and co-owner of Native Skateparks. She is Director of Administration and works behind the scenes on all aspects of our company. She is a proud mother of three healthy, vibrant children. She takes great pride in being a vital part of the process and making a difference in the world by improving the well being of todays youth.
